Service 1st Honored Employees and Volunteers During the Credit Union’s 2016 Annual Meeting

Service 1st Federal Credit Union recently held its 2016 Annual Meeting at the Country Cupboard in Lewisburg. Nearly 300 members attended. During the meeting, the credit union honored volunteer and employee service milestones. Service 1st President/CEO Bill Lavage was among those honored.

“It is a privilege to have worked at Service 1st for the past 35 years,” said Bill Lavage, President/CEO.  “The organization is made up of many wonderful, caring people with a common goal of improving the quality of life for everyone.”

Harold Hurst, Tracy Shirk and Lori Wilson were re-elected; each to 3-year terms on the Service 1st Board of Directors. During the Reorganization Meeting of Service 1st’s Board of Directors, there were no officer changes. David Cutright, CPA, Chairperson; Steven Endress, Vice Chairperson; Tracy Shirk, Treasurer; and Deborah Petretich Templeton, R. Ph., MHA, Secretary will continue to serve. Other Service 1st Board members include: Barbara Criswell, Kathy Linn, and Greg Burke, MD, FACP.

Seth Loff, a member service specialist at the credit union’s Contact Center and Northwest Susquehanna Chapter of Credit Union’s 2017 Youth Ambassador presented. Loff will represent the Northwest Susquehanna Chapter of Credit Unions by participating in the Youth Ambassador Contest being held in May during the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association’s Annual Convention in Hershey, PA.

Service awards were also presented to volunteers and employees. Volunteers honored included Kathy Linn (40 years), Tracy Shirk (20 years), and Lori Wilson (5 years). Employees honored included Bill Lavage, President/CEO (35 years); Mary Kate Mashack, IS Project Coordinator (25 years); Linda Brown, Chief Administrative Officer (20 years); Erica Umbel, Administrative Assistant to the CAO (10 years); Jennifer Neidig, Assistant Branch Manager II (10 years); Alison Farnsworth, Operations Specialist (10 years); Sarah Zinga, Assistant Vice President Wilkes-Barre Market (5 years); Michael Thomas, Chief Finance Officer (5 years); Dave Shope, Vice President Business Development (5 years), Karen Scott, Financial Service Specialist (5 years);  Jordan Frederick, Financial Service Specialist (5 years); and Kaycee Baker, Financial Service Specialist (5 years).
